Solution Information
Title:Error: failed unloading drive <drive id> to slot <slot #> error 69
ID:legato11235
Solution Statements
Here is the solution:
1. Power Cycle the Jukebox
2. Recycle NetWorker daemons
3. Perform a NetWorker Hardware reset: # nsrjb -H
4. Perform a NetWorker Inventory: nsrjb -I
Here is the problem or goal:
Error: failed unloading drive <drive id> to slot <slot #> error 69
Here is the problem environment:
NetWorker for UNIX
Here is the cause:
The Jukebox has become confused as a tape was removed due to drive failure.
The error 69 is generated when NetWorker is looking to unload a tape that has
already been unloaded from a particular slot.
Here are the changes that affect this problem:
Drive failure while performing a recovery.
-----
After power cycling the Jukebox (StorageTek L20), the menu/status screen on the
front of the library was saying that there was no drive. I ran an internal
test (accessable via that menu) and that message went away.
Thanks to Legato for this one!
