Read up on remote configuration for clients.  In this section of client
configuration you can setup a remote user/password and indicate the command
to be run.  On the client you will configure the pre and post backup script
to make calls to the scripts that shutdown and startup the database.

In Legato's documentation, look up "Client Operations" and "Backup Command
Customization" for the details.
