This should work since the browse window for Wednesday should reflect
exactly the way things looked as of Wednesday. So, the file that was
deleted following Sunday's full should not be listed for Wed. So,
choosing Wednesday should recover everything from the full and anything
that's been added or since changed as of what you see for Wednesday. The
deleted file should, therefore, not get recovered since you won't see it
on Wednesday's browse. Here, you're harnessing the power of the index
but read on ...

The one case where you "would" recover the deleted file would be if you
needed to exceed the browse policy and decided to perform a save set
recover rather than recover an older index. In this case, you'd select
the full, and obviously, you'd want all the incrementals after that up
to some stopping point. You'd have to select all the incrementals since
failure to do so might exclude some files that were created or modified
after the full. That much is obvious. Of course, doing this would
likewise recover some files that were subsequently deleted. In the case
of save set recover, it's not like NetWorker is somehow going to know
that the file should not be recovered because it was deleted prior or
following the next incremental. So with save set recover, you're always
increasing, always adding as it works through each incremental. Yeah, it
might be overwriting with newer versions of identical pathnames, but
it's never going to delete stuff just because it doesn't see it in the
next incremental instance. After all, an incremental just backs up files
that are new or have changed.
