Dears,
I already searched a lot of to find a way to determine
the clone completion time of a SSID clone copy, but up to now,
I haven't yet found a valid way :
Per default, a clone-copy of a ssid has the same sscreate (start time)
and sscomp (completion time) of his parent (original ssid).
The master copy has his clonetime that equals the sscreate.
The idea is not bad at all as we speak about same backup and just
copying
the instance data. It's very good engineered to have same SSID, sscreate
and
sscomp for both master and all of his cop[y/ies].
With the mminfo reporting fields (the -r flag), you can ask for
clonetime
reporting field. This gives you the start time of the clone copy, but
not
the finish time of the cloning operation.
This lack prevents you to compute cloning performance, to fine-tune your
datazone, ...
I also explored the way to refer to the ssaccess field but field value
changes
each time the SSID is accessed (recover or cloning). So, field info
is not relevant. Looking at last volume access (volaccess) is also
the same, volaccess changes when the volume is accessed for read or
write operation, so, again unusable.
Does one of you have some magic to gather ssid-based clone completion
time ?
Browsing daemon.log file just reports "Done cloning x of x savesets".
Any hidden/undocumented mminfo field to query?
Lack in MediaDB structure ?
