Hello Charles,
Thanks for the reply. We checked the loaded NLMs and they are
Legato's.

Check the level of your NLMs and from where they get loaded. I had
a problem where one of the Dell utilities used the same NLMs as
Legato backup. The Dell utility kept these NLMs in its own
directory, and they were loaded before the Legato ones. The Dell
NLMs were back level from about 5 years ago though. I think the two
were rpcstub.nlm and rcmdsrv.nlm. I just forced the systems to load
the newer NLMs and bot h utitlies seemed fine, and my backup speed
went way up.

We have 4 Dell servers running Netware v6x O/S. During incremental
or
level backups, the throughput is normal or as expected, but when we
run
FULL backups, the throughput drops down to 400 to 800 KB/s.

What could possibly causing this slow down?

We have 1 server with 230 Gb data/897794 files it's been running
FULL
backup since Friday night up to now.

We already check the NIC cards, the switch/ports and they are all
set
correctly.

Environment:
Server NetWorker v6.1.3 on Unix AIX v4.3.3
Clients: DELL NetWare servers v6, Networker v4.2
Tape Library: StorageTek 9714 with 6 DLT 7000 tape drives

thanks in advance,
