Initially to keep things simple I have all on one.
Turns out we actually have two HBA's in this system and in the Windows box and
we have a real SAN.

The library has an SNC with 2 fibre ports on the front and 4 SCSI busses on the
back and we're spreading the 5 LTO's across the 4 SCSI busses. Also note that
we will have a number of storage nodes sharing the drives via DDS.

The question is what is the best way to go for the tape-drive driver - sun/st
or IBM IBMtape ?
We are using Emulex LP8000 in the Sun box(networker serve)
and Emulex LP850's in the Windows box.

thanks - John

Well I don't understand the question, but I have a comment about your
environment. 5 LTO drives hanging off one SAN port is a real waste. A 1GB
fibre connection can only drive just over 2 LTO drives effectively. You may
as well throw 3 away.

What are you asking?
