Scott,
I am wondering why your precmd-script performs a backup. I think you should
stop your services in a precmd-script and start them again in a pstcmd-
script.
At least on unix machines I know one issue with the .res-files: a CR-LF at
the end of the file is mandatory. If these are missing, your scripts won't
run.
