Hello all,

We're using version 5.5 of legato and I am encountering this error when
running a recover command from the cmd line:

recover -d /mnt/somedir -s milton -S 83488
Recovering files within / into /mnt/somedir
NSR server `milton': busy
recover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying

I also get this error when going through nwadmin, save set-> recover.

This message has been mentioned a couple of times recently and it seems
that quite a few people don't know what it means. It isn't actually an
error. It means that NetWorker is waiting for a tape operation to be
performed. It occurs in a variety of situations. In your case it will
have issued a mount request for a tape, but for some reason it hasn't
completed yet. It could be simply that the tape mount request is taking
a couple of minutes longer than expected, it could be that all your
drives are in use, so the tape mount cannot complete (yet), or it could
be that the tape required has been taken out of the library so is not
available.

The message is also seen when NetWorker is attempting to start/restart
an nsrmmd process on a storage node. If this fails the message will
continue to occur.

What you need to do is to investigate why the tape has not been mounted
and rectify that situation.
