I wrote a Perl script some time ago that ran restore, looked in every
subdirectory of the `ll' (really `ls -l') output, and compared the
backup file sizes for the whole directory tree with the file sizes on
disk.  It's a pretty short script that's not currently suitable for
dissemination, but I can polish it up if anyone is interested.
