We've been an AIT-2 shop for the past two years here. I haven't used
enough different types of tape media to offer a valid comparison, but our
AIT-2 drives and media work well for us. We have twelve AIT-2 drives in a
Qualstar 412600 tape library. All twelve drives are connected to our
Legato server (Sun Solaris box) via four LVD SCSI cardds;  three drives
per card.
