Hey All,

Anybody at a medium to large site(200+ clients) gone to 7.0 yet? How
has your experience been? I would prefer to wait a little while, but
our NT guys decided to deploy a W2K3 server into production without
making sure our current version(6.1.2) supported it.

Is anyone using the "patch" mentioned in the release notes to allow 7.0
clients to backup to a 6.1.3 server? Anyone willing to share that
patch? Sun who I have support through is playing dumb about that patch
even though it talks about it in their version of the release notes.

Upgrading to 7.0 will be painful because I'd have to upgrade Solaris to
8 from 2.6 first and then from 6.1.2 to 7.0. So for now since I'm on a
tight schedule I'd rather just get that patch and then upgrade Solaris
after a lengthy prep time.

I look forward to what you have to say about 7.0.

Thanks,

Joel
