Hi All,

I need to enquire whether it is possible to password protect MS Exchange
backups conducted via the NetWorker Module for Exchange. The NetWorker Admin
guide makes mention of a directive called pw1 and pw2 which allows you to
specify passwords to protect the data being backed up. This I believe only
applies to files being backed up during file system backups and not data being
backed up via the module.

My questions:

Can/Has anyone successfully applied password-protection directives to protect
the data that is being backed up via a module? This could be any Windows
module, ie SQL or Exchange.
Also, if my saveset is specified as MSEXCH: will a directive be respected at
the filesystem level if it is applied there?
Is anyone currently using password directives to protect any of their files
(normal fs files or app files) during a scheduled backup?

Any input on this matter will be greatly appreciated

Regards

Sumash Singh
