Klaus,
I could not find such a field for the group definition on Legato Networker
6.1.x or 7.0.
Might this be a Siemens OEM enhancement?

Hi Aure,

there is one possibility to drop the wait and abort: use the hidden option
"run time limit" in the savegroup.

regards
Klaus

Thanks Klaus,

It works as you say, but I had to restart the daemons. Apparently the
nsrmmd's were hanging after the remote drive was disabled (unusual...).

I wish (it's allowed, isn't it...) it reacted to a
timeout on 1st option and then attempted 2nd. option.
The same happens when a troubled drive finally is
automatically disabled, the backups won't drop the
wait and won't abort because there is actually no
error in the communication with the client.

best regards,
Aure
