That is what CA does, but I dont think they are in a position to buy them.
EMC said no way.  HP looks like a good idea if they can afford it.  I think
in today's economy nobody can afford it and Legato is showing to be more of
a liability than an asset.  I have heard they are definately for sale so I
dont think pricinples will matter if the price is right.

I agree with David.
Legato has turned down purchase offers a few times through the years
.... either the buying prices were too low, or something else in the
package was likeable to them - {sources: Wall Street Journal & NASDAQ,
Company Info). In any event, Legato seems to be struggling financially
right now (as per their layoffs and the other recent cost cutting they
have done).  But I seriously think they are NOT going to sell unless the
"right price" comes along.
