Hi,

I guess you mean if a networker client crashes, you quickly restore some
minimal OS with networker in it so you can use networker to restore the
client to it's pre-crash state?

In that case, check out the blueprint on www.sun.com about using the
miniroot for Disaster recovery. It shows how you can 'enhance' the
root-filesystem of a jumpstart boot image to include networker and / or
Veritas volume manager. The idea is that in case of a system crash, you
boot off the jumpstart image, then use the embedded networker stuff to
restore the filesystems of the client.

The networker files on solaris are located in:

/usr/bin/nsr
/usr/sbin/nsr
/usr/lib/nsr

If you want to use the miniroot trick, you basically just copy these
directories onto the miniroot, but you also have to create a /nsr dir on
the resulting root file system. This you do by makin /nsr a link to
/tmp/nsr on the jumpstart root file system and adding an entry for /tmp/nsr
in the .tmp_proto dir on the jumpstart root file system.
