At one time I would have said that yes it would prevent it. Some recent
testing makes me think otherwise. I was testing different block sizes on
some SAN attached LTO drives, and it seemed that whatever the block size it
would still work. Now this could be some LTO magic but I doubt it. What is
certain, is that if you increase the block size to a value higher than your
system/drivers/NT registry settings can handle, then you won't be able to
read it.
