This is the feature that Legato are calling "Device serialisation". I
believe that it does in some way identify the device by SCSI address, or
WWPN or some such, rather than by Windows device name. We all know that the
current method is flawed because of "Plug and Pray" so this should be a
great improvement.

It is touted for NW7.x, but I don't think it went into 7.0 (correct me if
I'm wrong). I think 7.0 got slimmed down a bit due to pressures of getting
it out to market. We can probably expect it in 7.1 or 7.2.
