Any help with getting our 6.1.3 NDMP backups running for our Celerra
would be greatly appreciated.

We have the following configuration....

STK L700 with 2 Drives connected to FC/SCSI routers on SAN
EMC Celerra with an NDMP enabled HBA which sees 2 drives and the robot
arm
Networker 6.1.3 on W2K with an HBA that sees the same 2 drives and arm
(which it controls)

What we want....

Networker to have Celerra as a client and use NDMP to make the Celerra
backup driectly from its disks across FC to the tapes.

What we have configured and tried....

When running JBCONFIG, we setup the two physical drives on both the NW
Server and the Celerra. For the NW Server, the drives are not
configured for NDMP. For the Celerra definitiions of the drives, they
are NDMP enabled.

Celerra host is setup as an NDMP enabled clients and with itself as the
storage node. This client is in the NDMP group.

Pool setup called Celerra that has the NDMP drives of the Celerra
checked and serves the NDMP group.

When executing a job with the above configuration, we get media errors
"check storage nodes, devices, pools".

If we modify the pool to use the Networker drives and set the Celerra
client to use the Networker server as the Storage Node, the Networker
connects, mounts a tape, and backup goes. However, the backup is across
the LAN, which would be expected, but is not the desired result.

Cheers,
Jim
