This is a new issue as far as Legato support tells me, I was just wondering if 
anyone else has experienced  it.

I know nsrclone handles tape errors in this way sometimes.. it should 
eventually exit with failures.  If the media is stuck I could
see it not exiting.  While I don't run it, since this is version 6.1.3 is sound 
suspiciously like the 6.1.3 cloning problem about 2
threads down.  I'd definitely contact Legato and get the hotfixes..
