Re: [Networker] Disk Backup Hardware

We currently use a ATA raid max 16x160Gb box (currently 8 x 160Gb) on our
central NFS Solaris machine both as homedir for our developers and as cheap
storage box for medium and short term storage,
Price tag is OK ( see www.transtec.co.uk)
Software interface could be better (we also have boxes with controllers from
infortrend , their interface is better)
we did in the past backup to disk. Currently not but will start doing it again
, the plan is then to backup on ata and clone , so that servers have a
online copy avalible for ultra fast recovery.
Hope it is of use , maarten
