WE do saveset cloning using 2 nsrclones, when using DLT7000's we seldom
achieved more than 2-3 MB/s ie. no where near streaming - presumably
because its having to skip bits of other savesets, we've now switched to
IBM LTO's and commonly acheive 15-20MB/s speed (from iostat over 10 minute
intervals)! The 2 possibilities that spring to mind is either the LTOs can
skip forward far faster than the DLTs or because the LT0 are faster at
recording data there is a lot less multiplexing going on. We could now use
3 nsrclones but we clone all we want in the day so there is no need.
