Kris,

`nsrmm` allows you to delete the content of tape from the the client file 
indexes and the media database. But the label will still be there. when doing a 
`nsrjb` the tape will show up with "LABEL*" (where LABEL is the actual label).

If you want really to scratch it, you need to write it with another application.

But if you are trying to implementing the equivalent of the Scratch Pool in 
Netbackup, you can simply label the tape with the Scratch Pool (or whatever you 
named it) label.

If you simply want to delete the contents, then you need to write the tape with 
garbage.
