No one should really jump as there may be traps.  Yes,
You need update enabler at least.  If You use file device,
You will need disk backup option license as well (it existed
for 6.x release as well, but license check was not forced).
You will also finds some warnings regarding licenses for
DDS and modules inside release supplement-

So, if You really need urgently to apply v7 and do not have
time for manual readings, check with Your support.
