Ana,

  Even when you run the backup via the GUI, you should still get
a savegroup completion notification e-mail message or at least
see one in /nsr/logs/messages or your syslog.  This should show
more information and also help you determine the success or
failure of the backup.  The "unknown host" error could come from
the backup server for a client that's not defined to DNS or the local
hosts file.  It could also come from the backup client for a server
that similarly "undefined."  Though less likely, it could also come
from an odd completion notification set-up.  As Andrew suggests,
you should first be sure whatever is listed as the "unknown host"
is indeed properly defined for IP address translation.
