8-10 months ago, I gave a tru64 version 4.0f legato server 6.1.1 to another
admin. The saying if it loves you must be true, because it has come back to
me, albeit in a different state. Someone upgraded the server to tru64 v5.1
and had a library and drive issues so performed firmware upgrades to the
tl898 jukebox library after replacing several drives.

The 2 issue I am having is
A) nsrjb -d -S slot_number now prompts me to acknowledge empty port, and
B) nsrjb -w -S slot_number only withdraws the tape halfway without errors on
first withdraw, though second collides with tape left from previous
withdraw.

The tl896 has a robot and a tape conveyor. The robot removes tape from
proper slot, and places media on conveyor which does not seem to move,
though it is not broken as verified with sji* commands. Additionally, a
re-formated command nsrjb -d -S slotname -P portname does work with empty
port messages aswell.

Difficult to automate with the added prompts, and changes, besides inquiring
minds want to really understand what is going on. sji commands preform
flawlessly, just nsrjb needs additional flags than previously with add noise
factors, I don't buy it.

Reviewing the os upgrade for issues, I have removed the legato software and
re-installed leaving indices in place to no avail.
Reviewing the jb configuration, deleted and reconfigured the jukebox still
to no avail.

Calls have been logged with both legato and compaq/hp to no avail yet.
scsi devices are as shown below:
                inquire

Jukebox options currently are reset back to the default as seen below:
                nsrjb -V -v
                setting verbosity level to `1'
                status:
Jukebox handle being opened at port /dev/changer/mc0
Jukebox Vendor id ATL TL896 (C) DEC
Jukebox Product id TL896 (C) DEC
                jukebox id: 0
                options: volume_tags elements_status barcode
                        # #_pairs pairs
                drives: 6 1 1-6
                ports: 3 1 1-3
                slots: 176 1 1-176
Jukebox handle being closed at port /dev/changer/mc0
                (wolfman)#
Note there are additional options "eject, stacker_export, polled_export,
stacker_import, polled_import" which I can find no documentation and do not
change stated problem, and actually make more trouble braking the ability to
withdraw media from drives.

I have verified twice that the drive ordering is correct within the library
utilizing the sji* commands and mt -f device to findout which tape really
has the media.

There must be a solution out here somewhere. All ideas welcome.
