Did you remove the client from its assigned savegroup only, or actually
delete the client resource entirely? I've had luck achieving what you're
trying to do, only by actually deleting the client resource (in order to
later recover data for the old client, you'd need to get the clientid from
the media database, recreate the client resource, and assign the old
clientid.)

Making a REALLY long story short.... here's the situation:

I want to stop backing up one of my Windows 2000 Servers and start backing
up another one instead. I have removed the client from nsradmin (no
restore requirements) and created a new one. When I try to back up the
new client, I get the following messages:

cohntfs15:C:\: save: RAP error: Unable to grant SERVER (UNIVERSAL) CLIENT
license: Too many clients. Maximum is 60.
cohntfs15:C:\: save: Cannot open save session with
cohntfs35.ci.henderson.nv.us
cohntfs15:SYSTEM STATE:\: save: RAP error: Unable to grant SERVER
(UNIVERSAL) CLIENT license: Too many clients. Maximum is 60.
cohntfs15:SYSTEM STATE:\: save: Cannot open save session with
cohntfs35.ci.henderson.nv.us

cohntfs15:REPAIRDISK:\: save: RAP error: Unable to grant SERVER
(UNIVERSAL) CLIENT license: Too many clients. Maximum is 60.
cohntfs15:REPAIRDISK:\: save: Cannot open save session with
cohntfs35.ci.henderson.nv.us

Any ideas?

Thanks!
