Thanks for your reply.  Given that nsrretrieve doesn't allow for browsing,
however, how would you propose to browse a UNIX saveset even if it is
stored on a PC Archive pool tape?

This has been in place for a long time. The "PC Archive" pool stores
indices
so will give a browsable archive.
