I am going to have to backup NetApp filers with NDMP and I would be interested
to know what those of you who already do this do regarding the limitations of
DAR recoveries (directories owner and permissions not restored, symbolic links
not restored).

It looks like I could either :
- give up on DAR (each qtree, typically 10 to 30 Gb will be a saveset so
recoveries would be cumbersome but not totally unworkable)
- periodically build lists of directories and symbolic links and have some
scripts ready to reset directories permissions and recreate links in a subtree.

Best regards,
Philippe Michel
