The idea is to telnet from a windows machine that needs to be in the
backup to the server
using the special port (in out case 13660 for desktops and 13668 fro
laptops) but that is entirey up to you.

I define the desktops this way for our domain and based on what network
they are on to set the interface line in the client definition. laptop
users use this interface to make their backups as they are in the house
(buth full and incremental)

The group and schedule definition are nonstandard and have to be setup
proper.

as some other items onder the CONFIGURE section.

It was never meant to be used by others so some of it is messy and can
be removed like the CLIENT_INFO part that shows extra info about the
machine currently trying to make a backup.

Hope it can be a start for something useful.

Note: because it is not a normal telnet session there is no echo to
answers, the user only sees the feedback of the input after pressing the
enter key.
Most machines have telnet by default (and building a perl application
for local use requires perl to be installed first).
