Stefan,

I have a STK robot with mixed drives : 9840 B and 9940 B. For the backup, you
can create separate pools, one for 9840 tapes and another for 9940. The problem
comes with the restore, Networker will not known where he has to mount the tape
(9840 drive or 9940 ?) To resolve this, you can define differents Robots in
Networker with jbconfig. I have defined one robot for drives 9840 and another
for drives 9940. It works fine. Note that I have ACSLS Libstat on a mainframe
machine for tape mount. If you don't have ACSLS, I think you have to install
Smartmedia.

Hi,

I have a STK9710 attached to the Legato Server (6.1.2 WindowsNT) with DLT7000
drives. I will change some of the 7 drives with SDLT320 drives. Have anybody
experience with mixed media environments?
