You are right with Snapshot, but what if you don't have the feature.

We also used Robocopy in the past to do the same. It is quite flexible and
copies the NTFS permissions. You can accelerate the copy/mirror process by
starting more robocopy jobs (e.g. f:\users, f:\profiles, f:\data instead of
f:).

Whit the backup/restore solution I remind you that files which are deleted
after the full backup and before the incremental backup will still be
recovered. This can cause some problems!
