My experience with this in the past is that it does recover just the
affected files, but it insists on wanting to continue to read through
the remainder of the saveset information on the tape. So, you may be
done long before it says you are.
You can run a series of piped commands from the command line to
circumnavigate this problem. I don't recall all the commands, but I
remember once being faced with a situation where I had to recover every
instance of a specific file, with each instance being beyond the browse
policy. I had to use the command line to do this.
