Be carefull backing up mailboxes. They require different priviliges to be
backed up.

Do this.

To avoid errors, use the Exchange Service Admin account to start mailboxes
backups:

A. FIND THE EXCHANGE SERVICE ACCOUNT
In the Exchange client:
1. Go to START-->SETTINGS-->CONTROL PANEL-->SERVICES-->ADMINISTRATIVE
TOOLS-->SERVICES
2. Go to the 'Microsoft Information Store service', double click to edit.
3. Look in the 'Log On As' attribute, you probably have selected 'This
Account'.
4. Take a note of the account that you are using to start the service,
including its DOMAIN name if any. For example, if you have:
DOMAIN/Administrator, this is the exact name that you are going to need to
specify on the NetWorker Administrator client attribute.

B. CONFIGURE NWADMIN
Once you have found the Exchange Service Account (or the one that you use to
start the Microsoft Information Store service), go to the NetWorker
Administrator on your NetWorker server (nwadmin) and do the following:
1. Go to Clients, and select your Exchange clients that you use to backup
your mailboxes. (The one with the saveset MSEXCH:MB or MSEXCH:MB/(User
Name)).
2. Double click to edit the client.
3. In the "Remote Tab", fill the following fields:
   * Remote User: DOMAIN/Administrator
   (DOMAIN/Administrator are the names of the DOMAIN and user for your
Exchange Service account, exactly as it appears in the 'Log On As' user
starting the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
   * Password: specify the Exchange Service account password. You may to
need to ask your Exchange Administrator to supply the password for you.

C. For Manual Backups:
Log in the Exchange client using the Exchange Service account user to run
manual Mailbox backups from the Exchange client.

When trying to backup mailboxes (MSEXCH:MB) I get the error message

be opened  (MAPI 1.0)

Exiting with error status -2147221231: unknown error - 2147221231

Any Ideas?
