Hi Jim,

Could you quantify "latest version of everything" please? Does this mean you
are running Oracle 9 on Solaris 9 or the latest version of Oracle 8i? Have
you installed the 64-bit version of Oracle?

To check whether the NMO link to Oracle has worked try the following:

1. Start up Oracle databases
2. cd /usr/lib
3. fuser libnwora.so.1 (or whatever the libnwora.* filename is for NMO)

You should get a list of process ids which correspond to the Oracle
processes. If not, then the link of the NMO has not worked. If this is the
case, try going to:

Cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
fuser libobk.so (or whatever libobk.* is)

If you get a list of process ids from this but *not* from step 3 above then
you are still linked to the Oracle provided library and not Legato. Try
going through the install of NMO again and see if that will help.

If you have installed Oracle 64-bit then make sure you have installed the
64-bit version of the NMO and that you have created the correct link in
Oracle e.g. Under $ORACLE_HOME/lib64.

Good luck!

Mark
