Gurus,

Thanks to everyone who responded to my posting, especially Christopher
Adkisson and Johanes Kalbus who were kind enough to supply shell and PERL
scripts, I knew I could rely on you all.

I'm going to learn what I can from each of these scripts, my PERL is next to
useless, and write a bespoke shell script (I could do with the practice).
When I'm done, and if it works well enough, I may post it on the list in
case anyone else tries to do what I'm doing.
