Johanes,

If you have a silo (a library controlled through ACSLS [StorageTek], DAS
[ADIC], oan an IBM 3494) then you can share the silo among multiple
NetWorker servers, and any other application that speaks to the silo
controller. A NetWorker silo module license of the appropriate size would
be required.

Wes

Subject: [Networker] Shared Silo?

Hello,

I've just stumbled over a resource in nsrjb.res

STL device names: "0,0,8,3", "0,0,8,4", "0,0,8,5", "0,0,8,6", "0,0,8,7",
"0,0,8,8", "0,0,8,9", "0,0,8,10", "0,0,8,11", "0,0,8,12";
STL device reservation:;
STL device sharing:;
STL interface lib: /usr/lib/nsr/libstlstk.so;

does it mean that it is possible to share the jukebox between different
applications? Anybody experience with this?
I think about using SAMFS together with Legato Networker 6.1.2, or even
using two different Networkers on the same Silo.

Suggestions, ideas and comments are welcome

Johanes
