Emmanuel,

NetWorker uses the gethostbyname/gethostbyaddr calls, so it's using whatever
name resolution supplied by the operating system. So normally, the hosts
file is used first, followed by DNS.

You've gotten the server to contact the client, now you need to make sure
that both the server and the client agree on the client's name.

Wes

Thank you for your answers :)
I'll try to fix the DNS problem,
I thought first that I could force the networker server to find the client
via the host file (or lmhost),
is there a way to skip the dns resolution for networker or force the use of
an host file ?

I previously modified client & server hosts file, and they could ping each
other using short or long name.
