Thanks, yes,  I for one am having the the problem on a Compaq
Gbit NIC.   I'm certainly leaning torward this as the problem;
Legato seems to think my specifying the server on the command line
as the key to the problem ...ie nsrexecd -s mybackupserver   but
the driver seems a more credible explanation.

So far it backups up fine if nsrexecd.exe -s backupserver is run from
the command line.   I'll post my final fix when I get it working as
a service again.
