We're having almost/exactly the same problem...a Windows 2000 client
that we cannot backup.   The outout is exactly like yours except for
there is no exit code (our server is Solaris 8).

The latest suggestion I have from Legato is to try running the client
service from the command line with debugging..  So far, however; it's
pretty bleak..

Does a:

savegrp -v -n -p -c yourclient yourgroup

return no directories..ie C:\, D:\.   Mine doesn't.

Any suggestions would be great.   I can say we checked our network and
name resolution etc.   If we put in say one directory (C:\DIR)
as a saveset we can sometimes get a backup of that.
