Sonia,
I had similar errors on my MSL5026 SDLT. It would give the "Read open error,
no media in drive" and then after a while it would disable itself. It ended
up being a bad drive. See if the errors are always happening on the same
drive. If so, then swap the 2 SDLT drives and see if the errors follow the
suspect drive.

Hi,
I have this error message "Read open error, No media in drive". But, I have
un cartridge in my tape, often this error message appear when I make a full
backup.
Networker 6.1.1 on Windows NT and my tape is MSL5026 SDLT.
Any ideas?
