Hi Scott,
Do you have the latest st patch (108725-09). There are some references to
Seagate LTO in version 8 of the patch.
Is this via SCSI or FC? If FC, are the drives part of a fabric? zoned to
multiple hosts?
It is normal for unlabled/new tapes to report a read error when they are trying
to be mounted since a NW label doesn't yet exist on the volume.
Also, you forgot to include your /var/adm/messages.
