[Networker] RPC error and 6.1.2
2002-08-28 16:23:05
I upgraded to 6.1.2 from 6.1.1 on my Solaris server. I
had lost the system disk and misplaced the 6.1.1 CD. I figured
there couldn't be much of a difference. I still had my /nsr
stuff so the config was the same. Now it may have been coincidence
but now with 2 windows2000 servers and a Solaris 2.6 desktop I
get an RPC error:
With the window machine:
* fatboy:All rcmd fatboy, user root: `savefs -s grant -c fatboy -g test -p -n
-l full -R -v'
* fatboy:All nsrexec: authtype nsrexec
* fatboy:All savefs: RPC error: Unable to receive
* fatboy:All savefs: cannot retrieve client resources
With the Solaris machine:
* prandtl:All rcmd prandtl, user root: `savefs -s grant -c prandtl -g test -p
-n -l full -R -v'
* prandtl:All nsrexec: authtype nsrexec
* prandtl:All savefs: RPC error, Port mapper failure (severity 4, number 14)
* prandtl:All savefs: Cannot access nsr server `grant.deas.harvard.edu'
Any idea where to go with this? It was working befor the upgrade.
Paul
