If it's about a client's configuration, you want `nsradmin'.  If it's
about something that went to tape, you want `mminfo'.

I have a more complex perl script that I use to get this information (and
what schedule the client uses), but what you need is something along the
lines of (assuming your echo groks \n):


echo '. type: NSR Client\nshow Name; Retention policy\nprint\n' \
        | nsradmin -i -
