No problems with DLT 2000,4000,7000,8000 or IBM LTO we assume 50%
compression on "general" filesystems but have seen low and high
compression, looked at an LTO volume yesterday marked full with 600GB!
If I wasn't sure I was in compresssed mode I would test it with a backup of
a large empty file which should compress well.
