I am doing backups to disk and it is running full. I would like to truncate the
volumes containing purged jobs and according to the manual it may be
accomplished using the command:

*purge volume action=truncate storage=<File> allpools

but the command warns me that it is "dangerous" as it does not respect
retention
period. So to me it looks like truncating the total amount of volumes, which of
course is not what I want.

Could someone please explain what to do?

Thanks in advance.
