I am keen to work on the manual.  Others too. It is the tool chain 
which is stopping me.

There is also a docs mailing list (see the Bacula website).

If someone is interested, get the tool chain installed and running.  
Let us know how you did it.
If I can get that going, I'd be committing doc patches very often.
