[Bacula-users] Is Bacula data encryption usable at all?
2012-10-09 06:15:02
Hello
when evaluating a new backup solution for our company we have focused
at Bacula mostly because of some nice features like data spooling,
broad client support and so on, but the "killer-feature" in our case
was the data encryption with its straight forward design.
Unfortunately we now have spot some bugs like
http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1936 and
http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1940 and especially the won't fix
comment for Bug#1940 sounds like "don't use data encryption".
So in our case the question is if there are actually any
"success-stories" for Bacula data encryption, or if we are beating a
dead horse.
Thanks for any comments
Andreas
