Hi,

just concluding my question. Yes! It's possible run a bscan over a encrypted tape and recreate the Catalog for it, even if you don't have the keys. Of Course, to do a restore you'll need such keys.

Before I try do that I would ask you if it works run a "bscan" directly over a tape with an encrypted backup by Bacula. Would be recreated the Catalog for that tape, assuming I don't have the bootstrap file anymore?
