I have a similar problem here, however, as we generally backup to Disk
and only Copy the jobs to 2 sets of Tapes afterwards, one of them being
brought offsite, it is bearable.
We achieve this by using Selection Type = SQLQuery and a Query selecting
all backups that have not yet been migrated into the specific pool.
Then we run these jobs from within an Admin job that only exists to
replace the 'NextPool' statement with the 'right' one for the current
copy job, runs the copy job and changes back the Next Pool statement.
If backing up to a tape pool as 'cache' is an option for you I can
provide more details on my setup and the scripts I wrote to change the
pools.
