Bacula does not have a central director concept.

I definitely disagree. Bacula do have a central director concept. It means that you can realize central backup system in your datacenter. What you only need is a _one_ (central) director and infinite number of clients, storage daemons even catalog databases and consoles.
Or am I misunderstood your comment?
